               - BIOGRAPHY -

Dino Moran is one of the pioneers of the Electronic Dance Music scene in SA and a true ambassador for the continent.

Together with legendary DJs like Warren Lissak, Gavin Fitchie, Don Wildman, and Faadil, he laid the foundations of house music. And is credited with being a major force as resident DJ during the early days of the SA house music scene at Mother raves, Pharcyde events, DNA, Nexus, ESP, Zone, Spyce, Fez, Rhodes House etc etc.

Dino also paved the way for the first generation of professional career DJs to cross the international divide. As one of Africa’s biggest DJ/Producer exports, he has enjoyed 16 years of headlining super clubs, festivals and events in more than 22 countries. He has held international residencies at clubs like CentroFly New York, Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills London, Tank Sydney, and Pacha Ibiza. Has headlined festivals such as Edinburgh Festival, WOMAD Festival, Life Ball Vienna,  Sydney Festival, Commonwealth Games Melbourne, Eye of the Cyclone Reunion to name a few.

Even Nelson Mandela has booked Dino to play at his Christmas Party and was so taken aback that he had to book him for his 79th birthday party, which was held in a stadium for a FIFA soccer invitational.

As one of the early Godfathers of House, Dino continues to push the boundaries and embrace new technology and sounds. He does not follow musical genres but creates his own blend of cutting edge Afro-fusion music, which is indicative of Africa’s modern design.

Dino Moran has spent 2 seasons this year as creative producer and music director at New York Fashion Week. As well as producing and directing Mozambique Fashion week and the Face of Africa model search which is viewed by an international audience of close to 100 million viewers.

No doubt his influence on the countries party culture can still be felt.
