Dave Lea (Bounce Resident)
Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Dave Lea has been playing House Music since the first Hed Kandi CD was released in 2000.
With his early background as a touring sound and lighting engineer he is a pioneer in the latest technology and is consistently pushing the boundaries.
Its really no surprise then that Dave is currently using Traktor with sample decks and a variety of controllers , CDJ 2000’s & ipad. By the time you read this, there will probably be a new toy to see in his setup.
Dave Lea is guaranteed to give you an original style set of the freshest Funky House &Tech House that is sure to pack the dance floor.
Recent highlight International gigs include Bass Bar, Ibiza and Kokodi, Italy.
Back in South Africa, definite highlights include two epic back to back sets with Dino Moran at the Fez night club, arguably the home of Funky House in South Africa, Origin, Durban, Soul Residence, Cape Town, Sapphire, Camps Bay, China White, Kiff, Ku De Ta, The Local & his residency with SUNDAY SATISFACTION which is renowned in for its musical integrity and highest standard of Guest DJ’s and Residents alike including the very best in South African DJ talent.

With a long list of top class DJ's to keep you captivated this summer if your on the west coast there is only one place to be.
This may not be Ibiza but we have the beach we have the tunes we have the beautiful people and at least the drinks are in Rands not Euros !

SNAKE (Bounce Resident)
Snake started his dj career in 2000 when he went to London, the clubbing capital of the world. Knowing no-one and very little about mixing, he went to clubs week in and week out studying other dj’s and techniques. In 2001 he got his first gig from which there things quickly started snowballing. He started working in a record shop in Soho-London where he started developing a love for house music(secretly at the time) and met more people in the dance scene. Being the perfect distribution point for demos, the bookings came in one after the other. By mid 2002 he was playing between 2-7 gigs a weekend at all major London venues like, Camden Palace, Fridge, The Mass, Scala, Brixton Academy(Now O2 Academy), The Cross and Turnmills and The End to name a few. Every major promotion was now booking Snake: Frantic, Fevah, Riot, Tasty, Heat and the London Calling DJ exhibition. Snake was also one of the Guest DJ’s alongside DJ Astrid (Netherlands #1 female DJ) at Cosmic Waves in Norway. At the time Snake he was mostly playing hard dance and trance alongside names like Lisa Lashes, Eddie Halliwell, Paul Van Dyk, BK, Nick Sentience, K90, Lab 4, Ian Betts, Andy Farley, Phil Reynolds, Steve Hill, James Lawson, Ali Wilson, Matt Smallwood Jon Rundell and many more.
In 2003 Snake slowed his sets down playing more progressive and tech trance sets. By now he was playing for events like the legendary Gallery alongside Nick Warren, M.I.K.E, Randy Katana and Riley & Durrant. Snake came back to SA in 2004 but was back in 2005 where a comeback event was held in his honour at Pacha London with the event called: “Snake Eyes”. From 2005 he took house music much more serious and before no time he was playing house at most major venues: The White House, Scala, The End, Turnmills and more. He played alongside UK house legends like, Tom Neville, Cheshire Cats, Tom Real, Graeme Lloyd, Marcus Wallis, Ryan Briggs (MOS/Pascha) and the legend himself Tall Pall.
Back in SA Snake has played at venues like Kalahari Klik, Vacca Matta, Chrome, Karma Lounge, Bang Bang Club, Guru Lounge, Bambu, Cu De Ta and China White. Not to mention the never disappointing Friendz SA boatparty on Hartebeespoort dam. Being Friendz SA’s favorite and only guest DJ from Cape Town, Snake always deliver the goods. Whether funky, electro, tech or progressive house, he always blends the different styles of house in his own unique way and having the crowed stomp like there is no tomorrow.
In SA Snake has played alongside names like Josh Borrill, Kingsize, Leyton Lea, Nick Supply, Sascha Martinengo, Ian F, Coasta K, Ryan Murgatroyd, Stereologic, Steph Deysel, Chris Sen, Mark Stent and DJ Fresh.
Snake is a DJ with excellent ability and technique. A true crowed pleaser with a great love for music and loving hanging out with the ones that stomp to his beats.
Lately he has being developing his style into what he likes to call bigroom house. A tech and progressive sound with epic euphoric breaks and a flavor of trance.
He has also collaborated with some of the dance scene’s biggest producers like DMF (Italy/UK), Alf Bamford aka Technikal (UK), Trance maestro Ali Wilson (UK) with their track reaching #6 in the top 20UK dance charts in MixMag. He has also worked with one of South Africa’s biggest talents, Chris Sen.
Now producing his own house and trance, be on the lookout for some floor fillers this summer!
